We strive to make wise and permanent placements for each poodle. Remember, the more conditions that you make (i.e. color, coat type, age, and sex), the longer it will take! Please be open-minded to the different qualities that each poodle has to offer.

Important Poodle Rescue Points

Most Poodles in Rescue are adults; puppies are rarely, if ever, available.

Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption. Poodles have special needs. Not all homes are suitable for placement.

All applicants are thoroughly screened and must meet certain qualifications before being referred for a poodle.

Compatible poodles may not be immediately available; your patience is appreciated.

A donation to Florida Poodle Rescue, Inc. is required to adopt a poodle.

Poodles do not shed and require regular grooming- this is an expense that needs to be considered when thinking about adopting a poodle.

Remember, the more that you make (i.e. color, coat type, age, and sex), the longer it will take to find a suitable poodle to match your environment.

Donation fees to adopt range from $150.00 and up.

Fenced yard preferred for a young standard.

Most commonly asked questions

Can we come by and see the Poodles?

Florida Poodle Rescue does not have a centralized facility or kennel to house our rescued poodles. They are all in Foster Homes to be socialized as well as taking care of their health issues. (Spay, neuter any other medical problems) Please fill out an application and if approved you will be able to talk to the Foster parents and then visit or see the Poodle.

Before I fill out an Application can you tell me more about a particular Poodle?

Florida Poodle Rescue receives 50 to 100 Applications a month. We are a Volunteer organization and our 1^st priority is finding individuals who truly want to adopt our rescued poodles. Please fill out an application and if approved your questions will be answered.

What is the adoption fee?

Fees range from $150.00 to $500.00. The older the Poodle – the less the fee is. Remember all Poodles are vet checked and are in fair to good health. To accomplish this some may cost more than what we receive for the adoption fee.
